Govt. College, Sector-9 is a premier educational institution of Higher Education, Haryana which aims to nurture excellence in education. It emphasizes on fostering the quality of human resources and promoting productive ideas that can benefit the students. Over many years of its existence, the college has sustained the highest global standards and best practices in higher education.

The college campus is located on the outskirts of the city in the vicinity of a number of villages. The college which started with the mere strength of 70 students’ now boasts of a strength of 3232 students with 1140 girls. Away from the pollution and condition of the metro city, the college spreads over an area of 11. 5 acres and provides a clean, healthy, peaceful and eco-friendly environment for both the teachers and the taught. Entering through the portals of the college, the impressive idol of goddess Maa Saraswati installed in front of the porch makes the college family realize the sanctity of teaching and learning. The infrastructure has expanded to keep pace with the changing curriculum requirements. The college has a well maintained administrative block and interconnected science block computer science block, commerce block, 11 well-equipped labs, a rich library with the reference section and elegantly furnished "Conference Hall", a state of art MP theater and the green campus with exotic lush green trees and a huge variety of seasonal flowers, a big car parking and a well maintained parking for two wheelers for students and separate pink parking for girls. The college has also extensive playgrounds for outdoor games.

The college has ultra-modern air-conditioned "Digital lounge" fitted with latest sound and light systems and fifteen smart classrooms to provide wonderful learning environment for students. Another attraction is an air-conditioned Seminar Room with a seating capacity of 100 fitted with Smart board, digital podium, sound system and projection systems. The college has one language lab and It also provided on its premises Wi-Fi connectivity all across the campus. The college also has automated digital library that has access to online books.

The college also run an IGNOU center to provide education to various knowledge seekers irrespective of their age, time and distance. At present about 1000 students are enrolled in post-graduation and graduation subjects of Political Science, Public Administration, English, Hindi, Economics, History and Commerce. Qualified members of the staff are imparting education to the dedicated students in the contact classes.
